Calling your opponents bluff online at pkr.com differs slightly from live poker in that you have no physical signs or signals to use as you cannot see your opponent.
This doesn’t mean you cannot tell what your opponent has however, you just have to use the tells available to you as best you can.
The main things I always use when judging if a player is bluffing or not online, are their betting patterns and previous record. If a player has been caught bluffing or shown a bluff twice in the past five hands for instance they may well be bluffing while playing at www.pkr.com.
There is one thing to be wary of here though, players who advertise bluffs will ofen do so to stimulate action on later poker hands where they have made a hand, so be careful. Often this player will try and win the pot by bluffing despite the fact that their hand missed, because the pot is big enough to try and risk a steal.
There is a chance though that they had a high pocket pair, but as with anything in online poker, nothing is a certainty and you must use your reads well. Sometimes a tester re-raise can pick up the pot, or if you feel you have made by far the best of it, smooth call and hope they bet out again on the next card.
Whatever you choose to do at pkr.com, always take careful note of the way a player is playing. If they are aggressive and loose do not attach as much strength to their raises.
If a player has been supertight, you can expect to be up against a stronger hand. This and betting patterns should be more than enough to form an opinion of whether an opponent is bluffing or not.
